A wooden trough was constructed, lined with polythene, and filled with Oxalic acid. This solution removes rust but does not attack good metal

Once all the rust had been removed any holes were mig welded and the surface was leveled with filler

With all defects repaired three coats of filler primer, rubbed down with a guide coat then a final coat of primer

Three coats of Polychromatic blue and four of clear coat. This allows the clear coat to be flatted back to remove orange peel and then compounded and finally polished
