Before: wrong rear light unit and 1970's Lucas indicators | The metal was very rusty, could it be restored? | It was no better on the underside |
---|---|---|
Thoroughly de-rusted in a bath of Oxalic acid | Original rear light mounting holes | The first of many stages of filling and sanding |
Loads of filler | Plate itself was original stamped alluminium | All finished with correct rear light unit. |
So...yes it could be restored. It took probably about 30 hours work in total. |
