Toolbox looked OK at first sight, still had the original dealers brass plate on it

Inside there was still some of the original Polychromatic blue paint

Not so good once the layers of paint were removed

Decided to leave some of the original paint inside

Once fully de-rusted onward and upward with the filler

After many hours of sanding and re-applying thin coats of filler

Smooth as a baby's bottom and in primer

First colour coats go on

And finally three coats of clear

That's not dust in the paint it is the metallic particles which make it 'Polychromatic'

New brackets from Ace Classics...easier than bending them myself

All done

Dealers badge restored

No problems here, bit dirty inside and a couple of small dents. Here it is in primer

All finished with transfers applied. New filler cap and filter unit.
