The seat pan was intact but required some repairs

The seat pan was intact but required some repairs

The rear mounting point had rotted out and a rough plate had been fitted

Removal revealed the extent of the rot

This was cut out and a steel insert fabricated

This patch was welded in place

The forward mounting point was weak

And so this was plated

New brackets were fabricated, using the old ones as patterns, and bolted into place

The securing bolts were welded in from the top of the seat pan so that the nuts could be tightened with the seat foam and cover in place

A piece of upholstery foam was cut to size and shape and covered with a replacement seat cover. The pegs and straps are holding the cover in place while the glue dries

Heating the metal for the seat bracket so it can be accurately bent
